HiveMQ codecentric Partnership Announcement

In 2020, there will be around 20 billion connected devices on the Internet of Things (IoT). The open-source MQTT protocol has become the leading standard for the exchange of data between IoT devices, machines and applications. To bring codecentric customers first-class know-how and consulting in the area of MQTT data exchange, applications, and implementation, codecentric AG has decided to partner with HiveMQ. The HiveMQ MQTT broker is the most secure and scalable broker of its kind and will enable joint customers to connect hundreds of thousands to millions of devices and apps. In addition, a wealth of MQTT knowledge will be shared in the form of training courses and joint content offerings.
With this partnership and the resulting consulting expertise, codecentric AG expands its technology portfolio in the field of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). An integration of HiveMQ into the open-source project Apache PLC4X™ initiated by codecentric for the IIoT is also planned.
Both the Solingen-based and the Landshut-based software firms have been actively involved in open-source software since their foundation. HiveMQ has played a major role in the OASIS standardization of MQTT as well as providing an open-source HiveMQ community version.
