HiveMQ 2.0.1 is now available!
In the last weeks it was pretty quiet on the HiveMQ blog, this will definitely change in the upcoming weeks.
The reason for the quiet time was that we focused on finding and fixing a lot of sporadically occurring bugs, which were sometimes really hard to reproduce. So together with our awesome customers and users, we hunted down more than a dozen of these bugs and made HiveMQ more robust in standalone mode and also in cluster mode.
The most noteworthy fixes have happened in the handling of persistent data and clustering. In-flight handling, storing of subscriptions and QoS 1/2 message handling have been improved, especially in edge cases. The clustering is now free of occasional marshalling exceptions and the faulty distribution of messages or duplicate retained messages.
For a full list of all bug fixes, please see the changelog of version 2.0.1.
We highly recommend all HiveMQ users to upgrade to this new release, especially if you experiencing problems with one of the parts mentioned above.
At this point we want to thank all users of HiveMQ for their valuable feedback.
Have a great week.
