HiveMQ Community Edition 2026.5 is released

The HiveMQ team is pleased to announce the availability of HiveMQ CE 2026.5.

This release provides these improvements and fixes:

  • MQTT 5 client not disconnected on timeout

ℹ️ Misc

  • Add Scarf tracking
  • Add Snyk workflows for PRs, pushes, and releases
  • Remove hivemq-extension-sdk as included-build
  • Upgrade Gradle to 9.3.1 and Java toolchain to 21
  • Build script fixes and improvements
  • Update HiveMQ extension versions
  • Disable setup-gradle Enhanced Caching and delegate to setup-java
  • Upgrade eclipse-temurin base image
  • Bump hivemq-extension-sdk to 4.52.0
  • Dependency updates
